Privacy & Data

The plain-English version of what we do (and don't do) with your data.

TL;DR

✓ yes Your resume is used to generate your report and nothing else.
✓ yes Your PDF is deleted automatically — in 24 hours by default, or 1 hour if you opt out of storage.
✓ yes Your analysis results are stored permanently so your permalink works forever.
✗ no We don't sell your data. We don't share it. We don't use it to train AI models.
✗ no We don't require an account. We don't ask for your email.

📄 Your resume (PDF)

When you upload a resume, it's stored temporarily on our server to extract the text for analysis. Once that text is extracted, it gets sent to the Gemini AI API (by Google) to generate your report.

Your PDF is never shared publicly. After the TTL expires, it's permanently deleted from disk:

📊 Your analysis report

The generated report is stored permanently in our database so that your shareable permalink continues to work. The report contains AI-generated text based on your resume — not your raw resume text.

Anyone with your permalink can view your report. If you'd like your report deleted, contact us (see below).

🤖 AI processing (Gemini by Google)

We use Google's Gemini API to analyze your resume and generate the report. Your resume text is sent to Google's servers for this purpose. Google's API usage policies apply — by default, Google does not train on API inputs. You can review Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

📈 Analytics

We log basic usage events (report viewed, analysis submitted) to understand how the app is being used. These events include a hashed (one-way) version of your IP address — not the IP address itself. We also log your browser's User-Agent string and referring URL. No cookies, no tracking pixels, no third-party analytics.

🍪 Cookies

We don't use cookies. At all. No tracking, no sessions, no ads.

📬 Contact / deletion requests

This app is self-hosted. If you'd like your report deleted or have any questions about your data, reach out to the operator of this instance directly. There's no company behind this — just the person who hosted it.

🔄 Changes

If we make changes to how data is handled, this page will be updated. Since there are no accounts, we can't notify you directly — so check back if you're curious.
